The accident occurred in a mountain area between Marsliden and Saxnäs in Vilhelmina municipality, and the alarm was received by SOS just before 3 p.m. Mountain rescuers, ambulances and an ambulance helicopter were called to the scene.
According to Västerbottens-Kuriren, the operation ended at 5 p.m.
The police write on their website that the person is deceased and that relatives have been notified. The accident will be investigated by the police.
