The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon when three motorcycles collided.
According to the police, a man in his 30s died in the accident, Hallands Nyheter reports.
Another person is being treated in hospital with minor injuries, according to Region Halland. The third driver did not need to seek medical attention.
The competition was suspended after the accident.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation into gross negligence in traffic and have seized the three motorcycles.
No one is currently a suspect and the classification may change. But we are doing this to be able to investigate the accident properly, says Otto Eriksson, duty officer with the police, to Hallands Nyheter.
