One of the injured died shortly after being admitted to a hospital on Tuesday morning, a spokesman for Jordan's Public Security Authority said.
The condition of the other eight was reported to range from stable to minor injuries.
The big-screen screening was held at the Roman Theatre in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which can accommodate 6,000 spectators. However, according to information provided to AFP, an estimated 15,000 people attended, which led to large crowds.
The match was played on Tuesday morning, local time in Sweden, and Algeria won 2–1.
