The prosecutor does not rule out that more people may be involved.
"Right now we are working to investigate the criminal suspicions against the arrested person. But I do not rule out that others may be involved, and therefore we are working broadly to investigate who may be suspects in the case," says senior prosecutor Mia Sjöstedt in a press release.
The murder took place at around 9 pm on Sunday evening, on a street with apartment buildings in Kvarngärdet, in the northeastern part of central Uppsala.

In the police operation that followed, there was talk of an ongoing "hunt phase" for suspected perpetrators. Among other things, a helicopter was sent into the air and a large area was cordoned off around the crime scene.
