Linus Omark is ready to play for his parent club Övertorneå. It was I who contacted the club myself and it had been over 20 years since I played with Övertorneå, he tells Aftonbladet.

The 38-year-old forward star ended his career in Luleå in the SHL after winning the Swedish Championship this spring.

But his hockey career is not over. During the fall, he played in Lugano, Switzerland, on a short-term contract and scored 11 points, 4 goals and 7 assists, in 15 games.

But it didn't continue due to family reasons.

Now the next challenge for Omark is ready. He will play with parent club Övertorneå, a jumbo team in Division 3, the fifth level in the league pyramid.

He will play in Övertorneås' away match against Kalix on Friday evening.

When asked if it will be the last match of his career, he tells NSD:

We'll see. I can't say what it's leaning towards – right now it's only leaning towards Övertorneå.

Omark will play alongside his old teammate Johan Harju, also from Övertorneå. They made their mark in Luleå as the “Övertorneå connection” and later played together in the KHL and Tre Kronor.
