"Omar Artan is an excellent young referee who already has a lot of experience. He has proven himself at the very highest level," said Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA.
Somali football referee Omar Artan was set to become the first from his country to referee a World Cup, but was denied entry at the Miami airport.
"Football is about uniting people and UEFA wants to pay tribute to Omar and his excellent contributions," said Ceferin.
The match will be played on August 12th.
