With one month to go until the Olympics in Italy, Filip Gravenfors sent a message of strength by taking third place in the parallel moguls at the World Cup event in Val Saint-Côme, Canada.

The Swedish Ski Association said in a press release that Gravenfors won all his duels up until the semi-final by a landslide. In the semi-final, he faced Canadian Julien Viel and was leading until he hit a hump, fell and slid across the finish line while lying down.

In the third-place duel, Gravenfors faced Olli Penttala from Finland and won convincingly.

Julien Viel won the event, with Ikuma Horishima of Japan in second place.
