Hunter Hess is ready for tonight's halfpipe final and celebrated by leaning toward the TV camera and making the so-called loser sign - a thumb and index finger to his forehead - as a retort to Donald Trump. This came after he was asked during a press conference about American immigration laws and responded by saying: "Just because I carry the American flag does not mean I represent everything that goes on in the United States." That drew the president's anger.
“Hess is a real loser,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"I worked so hard to get here. I sacrificed my whole life to make this happen," Hess said after qualifying. "I'm not going to let controversy get in the way. I love the United States. I can't stress that enough."
