German Philipp Raimund won an Olympic gold medal in ski jumping. But the triumph does not dampen his anger toward Norway. He says the World Cup cheating in Trondheim is "like being spat in the face."

Criticism from Germany of Norway has been ongoing since last year's World Championships in Trondheim, when Norwegian jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann Fofang were caught wearing manipulated suits.

At the press conference after Monday's Olympic final, Philipp Raimund was asked about his relationship with Marius Lindvik, who was punished with a three-month suspension.

I saw him as a friend. After the situation in Trondheim, it felt like a betrayal, like being spat on in the face.

Norway's national team manager Jan Erik Aalbu tells NTB that the matter has been investigated and that the jumpers have no responsibility for the manipulated suits.

In the Norwegian national ski jumping team, we have moved on.
