"It is with great inspiration that I take on this assignment. I know the skaters well and am really looking forward to working with the rest of the management team to give them the best possible conditions during the season, where the big highlight will be the Paralympics in early March," says Emil Jönsson Haag in a press release.
Jönsson Haag has two Olympic bronze medals to his credit (2014). After his active career, he has been a successful guide for paraskier Zebastian Modin. The duo won three medals at the 2022 Paralympics and this spring they won World Cup gold in the sprint in Trondheim.
"Emil has an extremely large championship routine and very high sporting competence. He creates security for those around him and has an ability to get the best out of the skaters. It will be a very exciting season with a record-breaking squad," says Niclas Grön, elite manager at the Swedish Parasports Association.
