One of Sweden's biggest gold medal hopes is making its Olympic debut. In addition, the men's biathlon team is chasing more medals - and Hasselborg's women's team is fighting for a place in the curling final.

+ Does Sandra Näslund like the pressure?

The ski cross star is a big favorite to defend her Beijing 2022 gold. After two injury-filled years, the Swede is back in earnest and has dominated the World Cup - which she leads. However, in the last competition before the Olympics, she only finished fourth. Germany's Daniela Maier is challenging together with Switzerland's Fanny Smith and home rider Jole Galli.

+ New golden chance for biathletes

Martin Ponsiluoma won gold in the men's pursuit. In the relay, Sweden won bronze. After a weak start, the biathletes have really picked up steam. In the final 15 km mass start - where Ponsiluoma took silver in Beijing four years ago - there is hope for new medals for both Ponsiluoma and Sebastian Samuelsson.

+ Team Hasselborg plays semi

After the men's fiasco, the hope for new Swedish curling medals rests with the women in Team Hasselborg. With seven wins and two losses - to Canada and South Korea - in the group stage, Sweden can be considered one of the favorites. In Beijing four years ago, they won bronze - in Italy they are aiming higher. Then they will need to win against world number one Canada in the semi-finals.

+ Can Finland make a splash in men's hockey?

The men's ice hockey tournament has reached the semifinals - without the Tre Kronor. Reigning champion Finland will face perennial favorite Canada for one final spot. The USA and rookie Slovakia (Olympic bronze medallist in Beijing) will fight for the other.

TV: SVT/SVT Play and TV4/TV12/TV4 Play - everything is also streamed on HBO Max. Radio: P4 Radiosporten, P3 and the Sveriges Radio app.
