A heated Nordic derby is on the cards when Tre Kronor takes on arch-rivals Finland on Friday. In addition, Norwegian superstar Johannes Høsflot Klæbo is chasing his third Olympic gold - and figure skater Ilia Malinin is chasing his first individual Olympic medal.

+ The ice hockey masters are put to the test

After a shaky start, the NHL stars in Tre Kronor finally won 5-2 against host nation Italy. On Friday, they face much tougher opposition in a Nordic derby against Finland. The neighboring country started with a loss to Slovakia and is said to be eager for revenge.

+ Norway chases continued success

Norway has started the Olympics in style. Most medals have come in cross-country skiing, where the Norwegian men are as dominant as the Swedish women. The dominant Johannes Høsflot Klæbo has already won Olympic gold in skiathlon and sprint and now new Norwegian medal chances await in the 10 km. Biathletes Johan-Olav Botn (Olympic gold in 20 kilometers) and the in-form Sturla Holm Lægreid (bronze in 20 kilometers) are also chasing new medals in the sprint.

+ The vaulting prodigy goes for gold

Ilia Malinin drew a lot of attention when he landed a historic backflip during the team competition. The previously banned move rounded off the 21-year-old's program and helped give the United States Olympic gold. In Friday's free program, the American prodigy is chasing his first individual gold and is one of the big favorites.
