Figure skaters Nikolaj Majorov and Milla Ruud Reitan make history, and Tove Kohala throws herself onto the luge track. In addition, the Wranå siblings can secure a blue-and-yellow curling medal. These are three Swedish highlights from Monday's Olympic competitions in Italy.

+ Majorov and Reitan first - after 50 years

The duo are the first Swedish couple in ice dancing since the sport was introduced to the Olympic program in Innsbruck in 1976. Norwegian Milla Ruud Reitan, born in Oslo, received Swedish citizenship a month ago and is competing with her boyfriend Nikolaj Majorov. In rehearsal, the couple won a competition in Oberstdorf last weekend. Now the couple will write figure skating history in Milan.

+ Next luge-Kohala in Cortina

Older brother Svante Kohala competed this weekend and came in 13th place overall. Now younger sister Tove Kohala, who finished 20th in Beijing 2022, will make her first two luge runs at the newly built billion-dollar arena in Cortina. The luge arena for the Games has - just like the ice hockey Santagiulia Arena in Milan - made headlines during its construction. A few months ago, the construction site was a muddy work site, but now it is finished and ready to be used during the Olympics.

+ Mixed doubles semi-final

Rasmus and Isabella Wranå advanced to the mixed doubles curling final as the fourth and final team. The semi-final will feature group winners Great Britain, who lost only one of their nine matches.

TV: SVT/SVT Play and TV4/TV12/TV4 Play - everything is also streamed on HBO Max. Radio: P4 Radiosporten/P3/the Sveriges Radio app.
