+ Sara Hector chases a new gold
Sara Hector won the last giant slalom race before the Olympics. The first place in Spindleruv Mlyn was the 33-year-old's eighth in the World Cup and first in just over a year. The reigning champion from Beijing 2022 thus looks to have hit the mark just in time for the Olympics. Most recently, she edged out Italy's Federica Brignone for gold. Now she aims to silence the home crowd in Cortina.
+ New golden chance for the Dutch star
Jutta Leerdam has made headlines for her relationship with YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul, her shopping, her flying habits and her six million followers on Instagram. But the Dutch speed skater is above all one of the biggest stars of the Olympic Games. In the 1,000 meters, she took gold ahead of teammate Femke Kok and broke the Olympic record. In Sunday's 500-meter race, a new duel with Kok awaits - and certainly new headlines about something other than skating.
+ Calle Halfvarsson runs for Sweden in the relay
After the gold rush at the Olympics, the Swedish women had to settle for silver in the relay after Ebba Andersson fell on the second leg. The men's skiers have had a tough time so far and have not won a medal, but now the relay awaits. There, veteran Calle Halfvarsson gets the chance together with Johan Häggström, William Poromaa and Edvin Anger.
