A tumble and a vault crushed their gold dreams in the relay, but in Wednesday's team sprint a new chance for gold awaits the women's cross-country skiing team. In addition, the women's biathlon team can break their medal drought.

+ New golden chance after the relay miss

A certain relay gold went to naught when Ebba Andersson fell, flipped over and dropped her ski. Thanks to Jonna Sundling in the final stretch, it was still a Swedish silver. If everyone stays on their feet, few can threaten Sweden in the team sprint. Maybe the women's cross-country skiing team's fourth gold will come then.

+ Will the women's shooters hit the targets?

The Olympics have not been a success for the Swedish women's biathlon team; Hanna Öberg's eighth place in the pursuit is the best result so far. However, all Swedish skiers improved there compared to the sprint, and in terms of time Elvira Öberg was the fastest of all and Anna Magnusson was the third-fastest on the course. If their shooting is good, there are good conditions for a Swedish medal in the relay.

+ Hector is chasing a new medal

It was a shared silver in the giant slalom for reigning champion Sara Hector. That came after two improbable runs in which she and Norway's Thea Louise Stjernesund had exactly the same time in both runs. In Beijing four years ago, the Swede also won gold in the slalom, but crashed out at the end of the second run. Now she gets another chance.
