"It will take a couple of weeks to recover, but luckily we have time before we fly to Paraguay," Solberg said in a statement on WhatsApp.
It was during a big jump on Sunday’s final stage of the World Rally Championship in Finland that the 24-year-old suffered severe back pain.
"I’m in terrible pain," he told Rally TV on Sunday.
Solberg was still able to complete the rally and finished second.
The next World Rally Championship will be held in Paraguay on August 27-30.
