Belgian Thierry Neuville won the rally, finishing just under 15 seconds ahead of the Swede, with British World Championship leader Elfyn Evans a further almost 13 seconds behind.
Solberg started fourth on Sunday and, despite missing a spare tire, was able to move up two positions.
The 24-year-old rally star has overtaken Evans in the overall standings and is now 31 points behind in third place. Japan's Takamoto Katsuta is second ahead of the next World Rally Championship round in his home country, which starts on May 28.
Third place was Solberg's third podium finish in the World Rally Championship and his first since January, when he won in Monaco. The Swede had won the last three World Rally Championship rallies.
