This year, the Sandbergen festival venue, where Öland Roots takes place, celebrates its 100th anniversary. A couple of weeks ago, the festival announced it would increase the number of days from two to three. Now the organizers have announced that this will also be its last year.
"The association is expecting many visitors and is making room for everyone who wants to participate in a final celebration of the festival. Everyone is welcome and should join!" the association wrote.
Among the artists playing at the final edition of the festival are Luciano, Nadia McAnuff, Jah Mason, Linval Thompson, Labyrint, Helt Off, Rootvälta, and Fastpoholmen.
