The “Devil’s Wheel” - one of the oldest attractions at Oktoberfest - is a tradition where participants sit in the middle of a rotating wooden platform, and the one who can stay there the longest wins.

In connection with the entertainment, women have been filmed up their skirts - and tens of thousands of videos of them have since been shared on social media, where some have been viewed millions of times.

More than 32,000 such videos are on social media giant Meta's platforms, according to the German Süddeutsche Zeitung, which writes that people are making money from the content.

Elisabeth Polaczy is responsible for the Devil's Wheel and has therefore been handing out cycling shorts to women for the past three years to protect them, she tells the BBC.
