An effective Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the engine when Oklahoma City won in front of the home audience. The Canadian guard, elected to "MVP" during the year's NBA season, shot 34 points and seasoned the performance with eight assists, five rebounds and four steals.

When Gilgeous-Alexander shot his first points, he reached the milestone 3,000 points in total during the regular season and playoffs – a feat he is the twelfth player of all time to succeed with in the North American basketball league.

The final series, which is decided in best of seven matches, stands 1–1 before the third meeting which is decided in Indiana during the night to Thursday, Swedish time.
