The spill occurred in Valboviken, which Bohusläningen first reported.
Both the Swedish Maritime Rescue Service and the Coast Guard are assisting in efforts to limit the spill and find its source.
"We have blocked the harbor with booms, so we'll see how we do. Right now it's very foggy," says Mathias Jonasson.
