Oil prices rise as US-Iran attacks raise Strait of Hormuz tensions

Crude oil prices climbed as trading opened for a new week.

The gains came after another weekend of attacks between the US and Iran around the Strait of Hormuz.

About an hour into trading, Brent crude for September delivery had risen 3.1 percent to $78.39 a barrel, according to CNBC.
