The two oil countries have now increased their oil export volumes to 70 percent of pre-Iran war levels of around two million barrels per day, Bloomberg reports, citing oil traders.
Saudi Arabia is also using the same tactic, with transshipments between different ships in waters considered safe despite the Iran war.
Total export volumes from the oil-rich Persian Gulf countries through the Strait of Hormuz now stand at 7-8 million barrels per day, roughly double what they were in mid-July, according to Bloomberg’s sources. That is about 75 percent of pre-Iran war volumes.
