The market reacted immediately after the announcement of the agreement, and since then the price of oil has continued to fall. The price of a barrel of North Sea oil (Brent) has fallen from around $110 on Tuesday evening to around $94 at lunchtime on Wednesday.

The conditions for the ceasefire include the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The retail fuel chains are following the downward trend to some extent, although it is modest. The larger chains are reducing the price of diesel on Wednesday by 60 öre per liter for business customers, which suggests a similar reduction for private customers as well. After that, the price will be between 24.50 and 25 kronor per liter. The price of gasoline is stable at under 20 kronor.

Before the US and Israel's war against Iran began on February 28, oil cost around $70 per barrel. The price of diesel at the gas station was around 17 kronor, and gasoline around 15 kronor per liter.

The price of natural gas has also fallen sharply. On the Dutch gas exchange, the price has plummeted by around 15 percent.
