"There is a possibility that we will reach an agreement today or tomorrow to open the strait and take steps towards a more normalised situation in this conflict," Bessent told the channel.
The finance minister said the agreement would mean free passage through the Strait of Hormuz when asked whether Iran would be allowed to charge a fee for ship traffic.
