The British communications regulator Ofcom is launching an investigation into Pornhub's parent company Aylo, which has introduced age checks to prevent children from accessing pornographic material.
Under British law, porn sites like Pornhub must ensure that children under the age of 18 do not have access to pornographic material.
“We expect tech companies to ensure that age checks are effective before they are introduced,” writes George Lusty, head of regulatory compliance at Ofcom.
