Athlete Marvin Bracy-Williams obstructed the investigation – but eventually admitted to doping. The US sprinter will be suspended for 45 months, the country's anti-doping agency USADA writes.

USADA writes that they began investigating Bracy-Williams after receiving information from a whistleblower in early 2024. The investigation involved, among other things, collecting urine samples, which resulted in the American testing positive for an anabolic agent – which meant that he was provisionally suspended.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Bracy-Williams had tried to prevent the work. Shortly afterwards, however, the 31-year-old confessed. The sprinter will be banned for 45 months – which is counted from February 5, when he was provisionally suspended.

Marvin Bracy-Williams won the World Championship silver medal in the 100 meters and the same medal in the relay at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene. He was also on the US Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
