Swedish oat beverage company Oatly is not allowed to use the word "milk" for its products in the UK, the country's highest court has ruled.

The case concerns an attempt by Oatly to trademark the slogan "Post milk generation," which drew bad blood with Dairy UK, an organization representing British dairy farmers.

The organization says the slogan violates the country's rules, which state that the word "milk" may be used only in contexts related to animal products.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the dairy farmers.
