In total, there are fourteen artists on the nomination list to be inducted in 2025, writes BBC.
For Oasis, it is the second time they can enter the prestigious society – even though Liam Gallagher said last year that he is not interested in an award from "some old guy in a cowboy hat". Billy Idol and Joe Cocker are among those who are nominated for the first time this year. The White Stripes and Outkast are also on the list.
The artists can be nominated 25 years after their first commercial recording. The inductees will be presented in April.
Last year, Cher, Mary J Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, and A Tribe Called Quest were inducted.
