The serial rapist Nytorgsmannen has been given an animal ban after the County Administrative Board in Skåne found starved ducks on the farm of the house where he lived, reports Skånska Dagbladet.

Fredrik Lundgren, also called Nytorgsmannen, was sentenced in the beginning of September for the latest in a series of rapes.

When he was arrested by police in November last year, suspected of rape of a 17-year-old girl, he was in the middle of neglecting several ducks. When the county administrative board arrived at the residence in Skåne a few days later, two of the ducks were dead – and the others lacked food and water.

According to a veterinarian who examined the ducks, the neglect had probably been going on for a long time.

The ducks were heavily emaciated and dirty. They do not become like that in such a short time as had passed after he was deprived of his freedom, says a handler at the county administrative board's unit for agricultural animals and pets.

The county administrative board has now given Fredrik Lundgren an animal ban, which applies to all animal species. It has been appealed by Lundgren.
