Team captain Nyman, 33, has already set the club record with 322 allsvenska football matches after passing Åke ”Bajdoff” Johansson earlier this fall.
Now it seems that there will be many more matches in the IFK jersey for Nyman, who himself was surprised by the length of the new contract with the parent club.
”When we started talking about the future and I got a proposal about the length, I was a bit taken aback… I feel enormous appreciation. I am both honored and grateful. I have so much love for the club and to get it back is so big for me”, says the goal-prone Östgöte to the club's website.
