The national team captain Sam Hallam had no information to provide this morning regarding whether William Nylander will reinforce Tre Kronor. Toronto's star seems to have not made up his mind. "We'll see" he says according to journalist Chris Johnston who posted the information on X.

Hallam holds a spot open ahead of the World Championship quarterfinal in Stockholm on Thursday. Whether it is shut down with Nylander's arrival remains to be seen. Toronto was just eliminated from the Stanley Cup when Florida won the seventh and decisive quarterfinal with a whole 6–1.

It was a blow – and Nylander now reports that he is "considering" whether he should make the trip to Stockholm and finish the season by helping Three Crowns in the medal hunt.

Nylander has previously made three World Championships with Three Crowns and was part of winning the World Championship gold in 2017.

Most recently, he played for the national team in the Four Nations last winter. Then he recorded two assists in three matches.

Three Crowns concludes the group play against Canada, starting at 20.20 tonight.
