Toronto's William Nylander once again demonstrated his goal-scoring form when he scored two goals in tonight's loss to New York Islanders.
Nylander can take comfort in the fact that with tonight's harvest, he is now in second place in the league's scoring league with 23 goals. Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl is leading by one goal.
The home team Toronto was down by two goals after barely five minutes, but got their hopes up when Nylander scored his first goal. In the second period, the Swede gave Toronto new hope when he reduced the score to 2–3.
But in the end, the visitors were stronger and could, through Mathew Barzal, set the final score 6–3 in an open net at the end of the third period.
