Four teams fought for the sixth and final direct spot in the playoffs, also the SHL qualifier, before the final round.
Oskarshamn (72 points) held sixth place before the final round on a better goal difference than Södertälje (72) and Nybro (72), while Mora (70) also had a chance.
Mora, however, needed a three-point win and pulled their goalkeeper at 1–1 against Nybro. The Småland team scored two empty-net goals and took sixth place when Oskarshamn also lost to AIK away in the final minutes of the match.
Oskarshamn will now play in the round of 16 against Almtuna, while Södertälje will face Mora.
The winners will face Björklöven and Kalmar in the quarterfinals, where the other two will be Karlskoga–Nybro and Modo–AIK.
The winner of the playoffs advances to the SHL.
