Nyberg, who is a police officer by training, has left her party, the Social Democrats, after she was suspected of driving under the influence of drugs in connection with a car accident last year, accusations she denies.
In January, the Swedish Transport Agency revoked her driver's license after the agency said tests showed she had drugs in her blood. No charges have been filed yet. According to Nyberg, the blood test showed a metabolite, a breakdown product, but not the narcotic substance.
When a driver's license is revoked, it is prohibited to drive a car.
Nyberg tells Epoch Times that she moved the car on Tuesday in connection with street cleaning.
"It was wrong of me and I take responsibility for it," she says.
