In the city of Kulu in Turkey, there are large election posters with the party's candidates for the municipal elections in Huddinge and Haninge, among others. In Turkish, it says that the party needs 1,200 votes in each municipality, reports Mitt i.

It could be crucial for us, there are quite a few people who live in Huddinge and Haninge who are staying there right now, party leader Mikail Yüksel tells the newspaper.

If the party wins seats on the council in Huddinge, it could get a swing role, writes Kvartal.

The Nyans party has pursued several controversial issues, including the demand to remove Hamas from the EU's terror list. Party leader Yüksel was expelled from the Center Party before the 2018 election for links to the Turkish far-right organization the Grey Wolves.
