The profit per share was $0.89, compared to the $0.84 that analysts expected according to the analysis firm LSEG.

The revenue landed at $39.33 billion, which can be compared to the expected $38.04 billion. It is an increase of 78 percent compared to a year ago.

The revenue for the entire broken fiscal year increased by 114 percent compared to the previous year and landed at $130.5 billion.

Sees a Bright Future

The net income rose to $22.09 billion during the quarter.

Furthermore, Nvidia looks ahead with confidence. The company believes in a revenue of $43 billion during the current quarter, compared to the expected $41.78 billion.

Nvidia's stock price has risen 440 percent over the past two years and is currently the world's second highest valued listed company after Apple, the iPhone manufacturer.

The successes are based on Nvidia's data chip being the most important building blocks in advanced AI services such as Chat GPT from Open AI.

What analysts are now keeping a close eye on is whether the assumed increased competition from Chinese AI companies will leave a mark on Nvidia's future forecasts.

Fast Deliveries

Another concern is that bottlenecks in AI expansion will delay customers' billion-dollar orders at Nvidia.

Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO, says that the focus during the current fiscal year will be to deliver its new AI chip, called Blackwell, as quickly as possible.

According to Huang, the revenue from Blackwell was $11 billion during the reported quarter and the company states that the sale of AI chips is growing faster than any other product in its history.

Nvidia's stock initially fell in after-hours trading on the New York Stock Exchange but then turned around and is up about 2.3 percent an hour after the report.
