In total, Nvidia, by far the world's most highly valued listed company, has been authorised to repurchase shares worth $235 billion (just over SEK 2.3 trillion) under the share buyback programme, which runs through the 2028 fiscal year, Nvidia said in a statement.
The announcement lifted Nvidia's stock by just over 1 percent in futures trading on Wall Street.
Buybacks reduce the number of outstanding shares and thus mean that the price per remaining share becomes higher.
