The export controls have been a complete failure, says Jensen Huang, who is expected to visit Sweden over the weekend.

He instead the Trump government to soften the restrictions on exports to China, in order to avoid stimulating competition from actors such as Chinese Huawei Technologies by shutting out American Nvidia from one of the world's largest AI markets.

China has 50 percent of the world's AI developers and it is important that they use Nvidia or at least technology from the USA when they develop AI, says Jensen Huang.

The harsh criticism of the US export restrictions regarding AI to China is delivered by the Nvidia CEO at a fair in Taipei.

If American technology providers such as Nvidia are not allowed to participate, customers on the market will only make their purchases from others, says Jensen Huang.

According to the Nvidia CEO, it is about a market that is at stake, possibly worth 50 billion dollars by 2026.

Earlier, among others, David Sacks, the White House AI advisor, has expressed the same concerns.
