The statement comes after he commented that the US does not allow Nvidia to sell its most advanced AI chips to China. He has previously said that China's AI models are not particularly far behind those of the US.
Hours after the initial publication in the Financial Times, the Nvidia CEO makes another statement.
"As I've said for a long time, China is nanoseconds behind the US when it comes to AI. It's crucial that the US wins that race," he writes on the X platform.
