Huang and Altman, who head two of the world's largest AI companies, are on opposite sides of the debate over whether AI development should be slowed down. Altman, who advocates a slowdown, is also scheduled to address the UN Security Council on the issue next week.
President Donald Trump, who is hosting the dinner, has claimed that the only ones who would benefit from slowing development are China.
Other business leaders who will participate, according to an anonymous official who spoke to AFP, are Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
