According to the municipality's lex Sarah report, the elderly man, who had cognitive impairment and limited verbal ability, became agitated and spat in the faces of two employees.
When one of the employees returned after washing up, the employee allegedly witnessed the nurse groping the man several times.
"It's about three to five slaps against a victim who is defenseless," prosecutor Jessica Andersson told Jönköpings-Posten.
The event is said to have occurred in the fall of 2025.
The nurse denies any wrongdoing and said during questioning that she does not know how to slap someone. She no longer works at the nursing home.
