On Thursday it will start to get colder, with winds from the northeast, and on Friday a low pressure system will move in, first over Norrland.

"There we will see some rain, but also rain mixed with snow during the day," says Toni Fuentes, meteorologist at SMHI, adding that it is moving southeast.

On Saturday it will be "really windy throughout the country". Snow mixed with rain may also fall in the eastern parts of Götaland and around Stockholm. Temperatures will be around 8-10 degrees in Götaland, around 5-6 degrees in Svealand and a few occasional degrees above zero in Norrland.

The northerly winds will persist on Sunday. Lower temperatures could persist until Thursday or Friday next week, according to Fuentes.
