Novo Nordisk sets new goals as shares fall 7.7% in Copenhagen

Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo presents new goals for the coming year - and the stock market fell sharply.

Novo, which recently changed its name from Novo Nordisk, plummeted on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. By the close, the share had lost 7.7 percent.

The stock market fall comes after the company, which is behind the drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, presented new goals in connection with its capital markets day.

By 2030, Novo will have launched five new blockbusters that will be able to treat several different diseases, so-called "multi-blockbusters".

The stock has fallen more than 20 percent since the turn of the year.
