Novo Nordisk rises after application

Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk rose 4.7 percent on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange after the company announced that it had submitted a supplementary application to the US FDA.

The pharmaceutical giant has applied for permission for a higher dose of the weight loss drug Wegovy in injectable form, they announced in a press release.

The application is expected to take 1 to 2 months for the authority to process. The stock is still down 49 percent this year.
