The Novo Nordisk share rises by over 4 percent on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange after the quarterly figures were released.

The forecast for 2025 is lowered to a profit increase of 16-24 percent and a sales increase of 13-21 percent. Previously, the forecast was that the profit would increase by 19-27 percent and the sales would increase by 16-24 percent.

However, according to JP Morgan's analyst, this forecast reduction was already priced into Novo Nordisk's share price rise in Wednesday's trading, which has fallen by 25 percent since the beginning of the year.

Novo Nordisk's operating profit for the first quarter was 38.8 billion Danish kronor, which can be compared to an average forecast of 37.1 billion kronor according to a compilation of forecasts made by Bloomberg.

The sales of 78.1 billion Danish kronor were in line with expectations. However, the sales of the important product Wegovy only reached 17.4 billion, which was lower than the expected 19 billion.
