Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk buys biotech company Akero Therapeutics.
The price tag will be 54 dollars per share, which corresponds to a market value of 4.7 billion dollars, approximately 44.1 billion Swedish kronor, according to a press release from Novo Nordisk.
Novo Nordisk has in recent years become most known for the weight loss preparations Wegovy and Ozempic which have made the company one of Europe's largest in terms of market value.
