"Although this decision came as a complete surprise to me and without any warning, I respect the club's right to make a decision it believes is best for its future," Pereira said in a statement to the BBC.
Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by Nottingham Forest in September 2025. His replacement, Ange Postecoglou, lasted only 39 days in charge before being sacked in October 2025.
Sean Dyche took over, but lasted only until February 2026. Then Pereira got the job, but now his time at the club is also over.
Last season, Nottingham Forest finished 16th in the Premier League.
