Norwegians have saved an average of 1,400 kronor on the so-called Norway price for electricity over the past three months, according to figures from the energy company Fjordkraft.
If we look back to October 1 last year, when the Norgepris was introduced, the savings are approaching SEK 9,000, says Renate Larsen, a price expert at the company.
The figures refer to the three southernmost electricity areas. It is mainly there that electricity consumers have benefited from the government electricity subsidy, which involves a fixed electricity price of 50 öre/kWh.
In the southernmost electricity area, 78 percent of electricity customers have signed up for the Norgepris.
