45 years old – and best on the field. Veteran goalkeeper Katrine Lunde closed again in Norway's first victory against South Korea in the Handball World Cup (34–19).

"It was a good match. There are a few things to take away. The defense helped too," says Lunde.

Lunde got off to a dream start in her 25th and final championship. With ten minutes left in the opening game in Trier, Germany, she had a save percentage of over 60 and was named the best player of the match.

It's hard (to describe it). The superlatives for Katrine are starting to run out. A very stable match. She gives the defense great security, says national team manager Ole Gustav Gjekstad.

Gold favorite Norway will face Kazakhstan in the next group stage match on Saturday.
